FishingThe Hamina region has some excellent sea and river fishing. Please remember that a permit is usually required.Fishing and jigging are allowed if you are a local or a visitor, except in rapids and flowing streams containing salmon and whitefish. This applies to almost all the rivers in the Hamina region, including the Summanjoki and Vehkajoki. In Hamina, you can study the diversity of nature on several nature trails, which are available in the town centre, in the archipelago, and in the surrounding countryside.
